First Detector with Kiddo

Hey all, been doing plenty of research on the forum and youtube.

I live in the midwest and would primarily be using this on river banks and farm land.

There is currently a deal with the Xterra Elite with the PF40 for $480.

Also considering the Vanquish 440/ Xterra pro that are both 250 and getting a Garret Carrot.

Someone please chime in and let me know what you think. Primary use would be finding something and letting my young daughter dig it up and use the pinpointer. Mostly just giving us something to do outside, not super caught up in knowing if it's "worth the dig".

I bought this at auction in what I thought was really good shape. Its a Smith and Wesson 360 (not pd).

Took it home and saw this crack in the bushing and the ring around it. No apparent damage to the frame.. is this safe to occasionally fire or does it need repaired asap?
