Revolver addiction lol

Bought the GP100 as my first revolver and instantly fell in love with them as well as the .357 magnum cartridge. Anyone have any recommendations for what I should look into as my next one? Preferably 5” barrel or less.. definitely need another 3” or less to add to the small collection

Short(ish) Barrel Double Action 45 Colt

So S&W has shown some love and brought back the 396NG in 44 Special. Other than a discontinued Taurus 450 and the Charter Arms Bulldog, anyone know of any short (2-2.5 inch) barreled double-actions chambered in 45 colt?

This is the time of year I yield from IWB semi’s and RUN to pocket snubs!

Try as I might to convince myself a breathable tank top undershirt won’t make me overheat….or that comforting NOT comfortable is the most prudent choice…I ALWAYS GIVE IN to my pocket J Frame! No more wiping off sweaty ass gun grips and trying to pretend the 103 degree temps in Dallas aren’t much of a big deal….NOPE. Back to keeping things simple until maybe October 😃🍺🔥🔥🔥

What is a good place to buy and sell sporting goods such as revolver grips other than eBay?

ebay takes too big of a bite from any profit The last two times I sold grips or knives they took almost 20%

Been waiting to show you all this

Smith and Wesson M1917. I contacted them and it was manufactured in 1910.

This one will not be getting fired. Forgive my floor pics.
If you want a different angle let me know.

S&W 632-1 Carry Comp (.327 Federal Magnum) – One of the rarest modern J-frames?

Finally managed to add one of these unicorns to the collection a few years ago.

The Model 632-1 was Smith & Wesson’s first revolver chambered in .327 Federal Magnum, produced only for a short run (roughly 2009–2011). This example is the matte black Chief’s Special configuration with a 3-inch barrel, adjustable rear sight, and the factory Carry Comp port.

From what I’ve been able to piece together, there were several variants:
170329 – Matte black, 3” barrel, Carry Comp, adjustable rear sight (pictured)
178028 – Matte stainless, 3” barrel (catalog doesn’t mention porting)
178045 – Stainless 3” Carry Comp made for Sports South (2009)
A 2⅛-inch DAO Centennial-style version produced around 2010–2012

I’d still love to track down one of the DAO models to complete the set.

For those who own one of these:
How do you like the .327 Federal Magnum in a J-frame?
Have you found the Carry Comp porting makes a noticeable difference?

Any idea how many of these were actually produced?
Looking forward to hearing what the revolver crowd knows about these.

7.5 pound Zastava m83 trigger

I’ve gotten my M83 down to a 7.5 pound DA and 3 pound SA, this is probably about as good as I will ever get it. Hammer velocity has been further increased and it is a pleasure to shoot.

200th Bicentennial Ruger Blackhawk

Thought today would be a good day to show this guy off, made in 1976, the 200th Year of American Liberty.
Hoping to get something made this year to go along with it.

.44 on the 4th

Today is one of the good days. Traipsing around on public land, bringing a few native Redeye bass to hand with a fly rod, and accompanied by a sixgun. Not too shabby.

Picked this up from my FFL today, condition is even better than I expected. Have some Ahrends stocks on the way for it that should do the trick

NGD for my no-lock S&W.

I got it out of jail this morning. I swear everyone at S&W, the LGS, and their cousins touched this Model 19 no-lock before I could get it home. It had finger prints everywhere. I cleaned it up and have it good enough to shoot (sure hard to get every dust speck off a blued-gun). I am excited to try this out on the range this week. I bought a variety of .38 spl, +p, and .357 to run through it.

My wife inherited my mom’s old model 19, 2” (see last photo), so technically this is my first Model 19. Her Model 19 is on a limited diet of .357, so I am glad this one is made to have a steady diet of it, although I am sure my wallet and wrists might put a limit on that.

Rhino gets a grip

Hey pals!

I changed the grip on the nebula to chiappa’s walnut, I hated the finger grooves that the stock blue grip had and it was making it painful to shoot. Although I did like the look.

The original walnut is a great size for my hand, and I dig the look. One of my most accurate shooters.
