This little guy always finds its way to a pocket in the summer. It gets tossed around more than just about anything I've got. Had to get rid of some flaking coating so it's got a brushed finish now, and has held up well considering some of the horror stories some have told about uncoated aluminum.

I've got a 2017 f350 6.7 lariat crew cab long bed with the 6 speed. Bought used to pull my 14k 5th wheel. I pulled from ohio to nevada and then through the mountains to california and back to nevada almost every weekend for about 3 months. Never saw trans temps above 225. This past October I pulled from Ohio to upstate New York, again through some decent grades, Trans temp stayed around 205-215. I hooked up to pull to a local place for the 4th of July and within about 30 miles on basically flat land I hit 230!? I know technically that temp is within spec but that just seems very abnormal even with the ambient temp being near 100. Am I being paranoid or do I need to get something checked out?? Planning a big trip next week and a new transmission isn't in the budget. Any suggestions or experience would be appreciated. I should add that during normal non towing driving it never gets above 195 or so and always shifts perfectly. It shows no other signs of transmission issues... im stumped. Thanks in advance for any help.
Hard to say no to such a sweet little gun. Picked this up at a local pawn shop today on trade for a couple used Garmin Fenix watches had never used!
