Screamed at, 8 penny raise, and physically assaulted by leaders.
Ok, so to get us started, I'll share my personal experience. I applied to Target, thinking it would be a good place to grow a career; within two weeks, I realized how very wrong I had been. I worked in the market department, was the only new-hire trainer, was the only person who was trained to merchandise endcaps and seasonal displays, and only called off twice the whole time I worked there when I was extremely sick. I got a .05% pay raise ... that's 8 pennies. The back room was overflowing, on the floor, damaged and expired food everywhere, and no place to backstock. The store manager screamed at us in front of each other and even in front of customers while the store was open. All the department managers took her cue and treated us like piles of trash. One of the department managers told me that I was replaceable and that all she had to do was snap her fingers, and she'd have another me. I mean, that is leadership 101 on how ton inspire your employees! When the store manager went on an LOA, they sent in a guy who demoted one of the department leaders for no other reason than to create an opening so he could hire his sister for the role. She promptly used her position as the store manager's sister to begin physically assaulting employees. She grabbed one of them by the arm and ripped another one's cell phone out of their hand. I finally hit my breaking point and quit. IMHO, this is the worst company in the US to work for. Please share your negative experience of working with them. Let's bash this piece of sht company until they file for bankruptcy and then dance on their grave!
