Assignment Extension denied under Questionable Grounds
I recently applied for an extension for an assignment (with a valid ELP) that got denied. All that was provided under the notes section was “please apply for special consideration” which I found unusual as I made sure I submitted it at least 1 working day before etc.
I emailed my course coordinator for clarification on why it was denied, he said that he had 300+ students that he is managing, many of whom also have valid ELP arrangements/requests, that he doesn’t have the capacity to assess all the requests and so he relies on special consideration to handle them.
I have a feeling this isn’t a valid reason for denial, I have already contacted ELS for advice and applied for special consideration as a precaution. Is this something he is allowed to do?
