Update on my hair, and recommendations.
Hi it’s Faye!! Thank you so much for all your tips and recommendations. I think my hair turned out better this time then any other time. I do not make a lot of money, and thus money I have for spending on myself is minimal so I am working with what I currently have in my arsenal. I have fine hair, but a lot of it. I believe it’s 1c or 2A and medium porosity. My hair can be styled straight-ish, but it ends up still having random waves especially in the underside of my hair and has light frizz. I currently have a grown out undercut because my hair is a lot and I live in Arizona where the highs get into the high 110’s in the summer. The air here is bone dry. And we have little to no rain.
For this wash day I used/Did:
I used the Suave Rosemary & mint invigorating shampoo one time.
Then I used the Suave Rosemary & Mint conditioner and rinsed it all the way out with the squish to condish method.
After that I used a 100% cotton T-shirt and scrunched until my hair was damp.
Following this is used a palm sized amount Aussie Miracle curls mousse (I plan to research a better one for my hair but I need to use up what is have) glazed my hair and then scrunched it in.
Finally I diffused my hair using the hover method and then the cup scrunch one. I need to find a local salon and get a haircut to make my hair rounder, and to cut off my dead ends and have my layers return.
Once my current products are gone I want to buy a mousse that is for wavy hair that’s lightweight and not very expensive. I would also like to replace my Shampoo and conditioner with ones that don’t have parabens and sulfates because I’ve heard those can suppress soft waves. If you have any recomendations for inexpensive shampoos and conditioners like that I would love to know.
