I'm building a Konami System 573 (Bemani) MiSTer core mostly with AI agents — streaming the real development live tomorrow, Tue 11am PDT
Hey everybody — I've been building a System 573 core for MiSTer almost entirely with a team of AI agents, under the name Fabricore. I'm not a deep FPGA expert but somewhat miraculously my general engineering background seems enough to steer things and avoid getting stuck for too long.
Tomorrow I'm going to live stream the real development work. Feel free to come watch and ask questions in chat.
Stream: tomorrow (Tue, June 23) at 11am PDT — twitch.tv/fabricore. (2pm EDT / 6pm UTC.)
Where it's at: the core boots and runs a couple of real games on hardware — Hyper Bishi Bashi Champ at full speed with sound and correct graphics, plus a second (CD-installed) 2p version that boots. The graphics check bit-exact against MAME in VRAM (100% pixel match, reproduced on my de10 and SuperStation One boards), and flash save-data round-trips byte-for-byte. DDR/digital-audio, save-back, and the CD/ATAPI path are still in progress but I'm hoping we might get as far as a DDR game booting tomorrow.
