Replace or Rebuild? Clueless and on a budget.

I'm a homeowner, single mom on a budget without anyone reliable to go to for answers.

I have a Blue Diamond Pump ET 80 A on my septic. It has quit working. I found a rebuild kit for $51. I am wondering if it will be a waste of money to rebuild. I've read some things that say that after a while these things are just too far gone and it's better to just go ahead and buy a new aerator pump rather than a rebuild kit because rebuilding it will only get me a few months of use before it quits working again.

Obviously, I'd rather not have to buy a new pump but if that's really the only sensible option then it is what it is. If that's the case, do I replace it with the same thing or is there a better replacement option.

Any info is very much appreciated.
