Looking for books that explain mortality and/or cemeteries to children. Let me know!
Years ago I came across a children's book that was (I believe) about mortality but I cannot for the life of me find any trace of it these days.
I feel like the title was something like "things that bleed" or "we are all red inside" or something..
The beginning of the book had illustrations of a child in a huge very colourful field of flowers and then I think she pricks her finger and starts bleeding, and then the book talks about mortality from there? I think after she pricks her finger there is an entirely red page?
I just remember thinking it was really wonderfully put and hoping someone might know what I am talking about.. I am currently trying to write and illustrate a children's book about mortality and would love to be able to get a copy of this book, as I feel like the tone was really apt - not too "dumbed down" but not too complex for children to understand or too "scary".
