Zelle Scam on Facebook Marketplace

I was potentially SCAMMED on an item I was selling on Facebook Marketplace.

The buyer was involved, said he transferred it and his nephew will pick it up the following day. Shortly after he said the money was transferred. I received an email from Zelle, or I thought it was from Zelle...This is what transpired:

I got a fake Zelle email address... SEE BELOW FAKE EMAIL.

"You Received $550.00 With Zelle®

Account Limit

Zelle is a revolution in the way money moves. It's a free app that lets you send and receive money with almost anyone in minutes by working with leading banks and credit unions.

You have a pending payment of $550.00 USD

We should be crediting your account now but we noticed the account has been limited and not a business account so it can’t be credited to your account now so we need you to contact the buyer to send in the amount of $500.00 USD to your Zelle account so it can be changed to a business account be credited immediately with $1,050.00 USD.

Get in touch with our customer service representatives. Our agent is on hand to offer the required assistance. We can be immediately reached at +1 (802) 324-4070"

I Called the number shown and a guy answered by saying " Zelle Customer Support". I asked him what's going on and he said that he has located the transfer to my bank account for $550 and it will take 2 days to transfer the money. The buyer said his nephew will pick it up the following day (before the 2 day wait)

I ended up contacting the buyer to let him know that the item is going NO WHERE until I get my money in my account and I did not get a response from the douche bag buyer who was attempting to rip me off!!!

All of this really pissed me off !! The assholes involved were not aware that I'm smarter that them and was not going to fall for their scheme.

I hope Karma gives them a bite in the ass and I hope that those involved get criminally charged trying to rip off innocent people.
