Help with a Zelle Transaction

I need help because I sent two payments to myself from another bank (due to location) and one amount of 5 went through and it claimed a 10 dollar one also went through but not showing in account. Meanwhile I also sent myself 40 dollars now that is pending. I’m truly hoping the 10 isn’t missing money. Anyone have any tips?

The sending bank I used is closed for now and on their end it shows it completed and sent successfully so I’m lost 🤷🏻‍♂️

How did the sender cancel Zelle payment?

A marketplace buyer sent me some money through Zelle to my Bank of America account . I instantly received a notification email from the bank about the payment, but it didn't appear in the list of transactions on my banking app. While I was waiting for the payment to appear, the buyer, to my surprise, pulled up an email with a "Cancel payment" link at the bottom. Not sure which app they were using. The moment they cancelled the payment, I received a follow-up notification from the bank with the subject: "The Zelle payment you were expecting from <X> didn't go through". The email body said: "<X> attempted to send a $<Y> Zelle® payment to your account ending in <Z>, but the payment couldn't be completed". It was not a phishing email, because it had last four digits of my bank account number, which I didn't share with them. They attempted Zelle a second time, and this time the payment went through.

This person was not a scammer. I was lucky. But what if I weren't. Zelle makes us believe that it's as good as cash. "Can I cancel a payment?" FAQ says this situation is only possible when the recipient's account is not enrolled with Zelle, which clearly wasn't the case here.

I called Zelle customer care the next day, but they were hedging and blaming the bank. Clearly, the reality is different from what they claim on their website. Does anyone have any explanation of what happened that day? A payment processing network cannot simply dodge their responsibility and make bold, false claims.

Zelle not showing up on Sierra central banking app

Went to the bank to get myself set up with zelle, but whenever I try and hit the "bill pay and zelle" button on the app, I only get bill pay options with nothing at all related to zelle to be found. Anyone else have this issue?

Zelle issues no help!

I sent $500 from 1 bank of mine to another bank of mine and it came back “payment failure” but still took the money. I’ve used zelle countless times and never had an issue. I call the bank and they said it’s not their fault it’s zelle. Zelle says they can’t help me and I just need to wait til it comes back to my account which will be within 14 business days.

No one can help. No one knows what to do. It’s like a rat running in a wheel.

I understand technology glitches sometimes but what I don’t understand is why there’s no solutions, no customer service, no answers. Zelle is used by ALL major banks, you’d assume there’s solutions to problems.

When I called zelle customer service they told me they don’t hold any money and my banks the one that does. My bank said zelle is. It’s so frustrating I will NEVER use this service again.

Wells Fargo / Zell scam

I just had a scam call for an number that showed up on my caller ID as Wells Fargo Bank. The guy sounded very professional and said he was calling to verify possible fraudulent activity of a zell transfer of $3000 and $500 for me to someone else. After telling them I don't use zell he gave me a "case number" and 2 numbers I would need to cancel the charges. He then transfered me to the "Wells Fargo Zell Fraud Department" the phone rang like a real transfer and a different man answered and started walking me through how to cancel the charges. Meanwhile I was googeling the situation because I was getting scam vibes. I figured I would keep playing the game until I figured it out without giving them any personal information. He started walking me through sending a zell payment. The name for the account was some compleatly random name and the email address he gave me was from Gmail with the random name and some numbers at the end. I asked if he was from Wells Fargo why he was using a Gmail address and why the name made no sense. He started to assure me it was all legit. I called him out as a scammer and congratulated him on it taking that long for me to verify it. The last thing he said was to prove it wasn't a scam he was going to authorize the charges and hung up on me.

Question about use?

Is Zelle just used to pay individual people or do companies use it for payment of bills and such. Such as online businesses? Just trying to make sure someone isn’t sending money to a scammer. Thank you.

Zelle didn’t go through

I get paid through Zelle for my job and I totally trust the company and the people, today I got notifications 2 large amounts have been deposited. I know the deposits were legit because the text thread I got the notification on I could see all my recent legit Zelle deposits. Only one of them deposited. The one that deposited is pending (totally normal) the other one does not show up at all. I’ve never had this happen as Zelle is basically instant. Has anyone had this happen? Assuming it will take a few days I guess this time but it’s scary because I received the text proof but no other proof. Help!

May I add I’ve successfully been paid many times before via Zelle by them

Fraud

A stranger sent money to my Capital One account through Zelle. I received the call saying it was a mistake and to return the money which is a very common scam. I reported it to Capital One and they “denied” the claim to remove the money from my account. So my question is, what do I do with the money now? Keep it?

Bank of America Zelle payment says “Blocked” for almost a week has anyone dealt with this?

I’m hoping someone has experience with this because I’m really stressed.
I sold my computer to someone through OfferUp. He has my computer, and he tried to send me $850 through Zelle from Bank of America. The transaction on his end says “$850 to Me - Blocked,” and I never received the money.

He says the $850 also hasn’t gone back into his account yet, which is why he hasn’t sent me the money another way because he’s worried about paying twice.
The payment was blocked on Saturday 6/20, and it’s now Thursday 6/25 with still no update. He says he’s called both Bank of America and Zelle and hasn’t gotten any answers.

Has anyone had a blocked Zelle payment with Bank of America take this long? How many business days did it take for the money to go back into the sender’s account? Did it eventually get resolved, and was there anything you had to do to get it fixed?

I’m especially worried because this was an OfferUp sale, the buyer already has my computer, and I need this money to pay my rent. I’m trying to figure out if this timeline is normal or if I should be concerned.

Double payment

I was sent $150 Zelle on Friday, and received it twice (I now have $300) but the person who sent it was only charged one time. I called my bank and said many other people experienced the same thing but I have seen no one talk about it online. Has anyone experienced this?

Inability to Use Zelle

I've only ever been successful utilizing Zelle one time. Ever since that first occasion, I'll get knocked out of my bank's (US Bank) online banking website when clicking on the final "send payment" button. If I try the mobile app, it just pops an error message saying to try again later. Tonight I spent another frustrating 45 minutes on the phone with US Bank customer service trying to troubleshoot. While following their directions, I got locked out of my account for 24 hours! There has got to be a better way to send money. Now I've got a vendor waiting for money which I'm unable to send them. Arrgh!

Are payments being delayed right now?

I just sent my rent payment and usually it is instant. Right now it’s stuck on sent instead of delivered.

Is anybody else having a delay on their payments being sent? The money has left my account.

Transfer "Failed", but took out of my bank anyways

I was using Zelle to send $200. As I hit submit, it said something along the lines of the transfer failed. I went back to my bank account, and it took the $200 out. When looking at Zelle, there is absolutely no record of the money actually being sent to the other person, and they never received it. (Yes, I contacted my bank. They basically said, "It was successfully taken out of your account," and denied my dispute.) It has been longer than a day and this is ridiculous. Where did my money go, and why is neither side taking accountability?

Edit: I usually get an email saying successfully sent, but I never even got that. I tried sending more after and that one worked, but still no sign of the other.
