What is going on with my lavender ? Bought and planted at the same time, same soil, same drainage, same sunlight, same everything but some is thriving and the rest below are struggling ???

My chook keeps going into this tree/bush instead of the coop. We have an automatic coop door so at first I thought she was too late before it closed but I have seen her in the bush before the door has closed so don’t think it’s this. She only spends time in the bush at night and wants to get out of their fence during the day but doesn’t despite the fact that this roosting perch in the tree is above fence height. She is one of 4 chooks we have and now the others have started joining her…. Any advice on how to keep her out of the tree or get her to go in to the coop on her own? She’s not being bullied by the others and is eating and healthy. We are worried she might get cold overnight or taken by something
