Use Case: Primarily gaming. I’m not a hardcore gamer, but I’d like to play 3-4 times a week whenever I feel like it. Mostly interested in modern AAA titles and would like the ability to play pretty much any current game without major performance issues.

Preferred Specs: No specific preference. Looking for the best value for gaming performance. Don't need ultra settings or extremely high FPS, but I want games to run smoothly. Ideally 16GB+ RAM and enough storage for a decent game library.

Notes:

• I'm currently deciding between a PS5 and a gaming laptop.
• I won't be gaming on the laptop screen. I'll connect it to my TV and use a controller.
• Because of that, I don't care much about the laptop display, speakers, keyboard quality, or portability.
• My main priorities are graphics performance and longevity.
• One reason I'm considering a laptop is the flexibility it offers compared to a console.
• Looking for recommendations on whether I should go for a PS5 or a gaming laptop in this budget, and if a laptop is the better choice, which models/specs I should consider.
