What has been your experience at a mental hospital as a patient or an employee
Hello, I have been to a mental hospital once in my life and I have mixed feelings about it. Some of the staff were nice and kind, but a couple of the staff were mean and cold. Even had one nurse insist that the other nurse took my blood pressure 5 times in a row& then when I was trying to walk away to calm down, she yelled my name and told me come take your pills! I actually had problems with blood pressure while I was there. It seemed to cause more harm than good. A lot of patients I met, were nice to me& even made a couple of friends while in PICU. However, a lot of the patients said that this was not their first rodeo and have been in this kind of facility multiple times. Also went to group therapy and this patient was trying to get help, but the staff did not really give a helpful answer to her. My question is what has been your experiences at mental hospitals and is there anything that could help make this kind of place better?
