is my cat a sign from the universe that i need to find a better niche???

anyone else kinda curious what niche everyone here is in?

i always find it interesting because two channels can have the same subs but totally different vibes in terms of audience, like one feels super tight and engaged and the other is just numbers on a screen

i’m still figuring mine out tbh. i’ve only got a small audience but i started experimenting with monetization early just to see what actually happens

i put up a monthly sub on patreon and also tested a single video sale on stagetown and honestly… the single video sale is doing kinda better than i expected. like people actually paying for one piece of content instead of waiting for everything to be free is weirdly interesting

my cat did this thing yesterday where i was mid-edit, trying to fix a cut for like 20 minutes, and he just walked across the desk, sat directly on the timeline, and somehow deleted the exact section i had been overthinking the most. didn’t even look back. just left. felt intentional.

also how do you guys actually get closer to your audience?

do you rely on comments, community posts, discord, livestreams, or is it more just “post more and hope the same people show up again”?

it feels like making videos is one skill but actually building a connection where people care about you is a completely different game

would love to hear what niches people are in and what actually worked for getting that “real audience” feeling instead of just views
