8bitdo keyboard software is very lacking
I bought their c64 edition keyboard recently.
The software is completely lacking and bare. I type Dvorak layout and usually switch between profiles with qwerty frequently when gaming; this worked flawless with my gk61s with extensive customization and multiple shortcut profiles to switch on the fly via function key. However you don't even get the option to change the shift layer symbols on the 8bitdo keyboard. Instead you can only assign the main symbol key that is defaulted with the standard pre-assigned qwerty layout when you hold down shift.
You can create multiple profiles but can only activate one at a time. Using the profile button on the board itself. As far as i know there is no other way to change through multiple profiles on the fly without you having to connect your board to the computer through usb, then open up the software and choosing one of the created profiles. could they not have made the profile button on the keyboard cycle through your profiles since you get no fn?
Unfortunately, windows built in layout switcher is not an option for me as it causes other issues personally.
The phamlet manual doesn't explain anything and is vague. I think maybe prioritizing the software is more important than the joystick and buttons it comes with
