HomeLink Mirror in Canada

I've called some dealers and they all say the homelink mirror for the mk8 is only available in the US. But to my Canadians out there, what have you done for garage openers? The one I have right now works when it wants to and I was hoping to replace with the homelink mirror and VW Canada made sure that wouldn't be possible.

It’s no secret that the speakers in the MK8 are at best ok. Any suggestions on how to make it sound a bit better and get more depth of sound?
