what is actually replaced when you get a new display? (m2 macbook air)
hi. sorry in advance for the possible stupidity of this question; i know next to nothing about computers but i can’t find a straight answer online.
i am getting the display on my M2 macbook air (13.6”, purchased in 2022) replaced at the apple store under apple care as the camera and lid sensor are broken; the part is already on order. however, it just occurred to me today that my laptop is completely covered in stickers and i don’t know if the top half of the laptop will be preserved. does a display replacement for this take off the entire top half of the ‘clamshell’ or just the screen itself? obviously i need the new display regardless (i’m a student & researcher and need a functioning camera for zoom meetings) but i really want to know if my stickers will be saved for sentimental value/replacement reasons.
i know this is a bit silly but i would love to know what to expect before i give them my laptop for repair, so i appreciate any help anyone can give!
