From my experience, I saw 2 kinds of extreme behaviour with alcohol.
The ones who are the kind of people who always want to be in control and do not drink a drop of alcohol. Those ones seem to be more on the grandiose narcissist side.
And the ones who are the extreme opposite and drink heavy, they look for extreme stuff to forget their misery. Those ones seem to be more on the covert side.
I noticed from me and other people with NPD that we seem to be much more aware of what is happening around us, catching more details, analyzing more what is around. I also noticed people having something in their hand and playing with it or scratching their fingers. Maybe it is because we need constant stimulation and want to look good to people around, maybe anxiety also?
I'm on the covert narcissistic side and it happened twice that some women start to love bomb me without even knowing me (I discovered afterwards that they were very narcissistic). They were pretty and nice, I was very attracted but I could never get comfortable with them after the first discussion. They were very extroverted and I'm not, it felt like they were taking control of the situation and It completely blocked me. Anyone had a similar situation?
