Associate director - Senior Manager job title?

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if someone can tell me if an associate director title and senior manager title in financial services is the same? Or is the associate director more senior?

I saw a job post on an associate director for $190k but the senior manage role is also on the same similar $$

Keen for some insights across different companies

Super investment strategy

So I had a free consultation with a financial adviser recently about super investing. I’m F(30) and my super balance is $110000 and my husband is 38 with a balance of $65000.

We were initially doing research on buying property using a SMSF but this adviser advised us against it and said that they can act as an investment manager for our superfund, which actually will give a return of 8-12% annually. The initial set up costs is around $4000 and that they charge an ongoing fees of 1.3%.

What’s everyone’s experience with managing their super?

Asking clarifying questions after receiving a job contract and not heard back.

I’ve received an employment contract from a company that I’ve been talking to for awhile now. They’re pretty good with responding. However, after I received the job contract, I reviewed it thoroughly and was happy with most of the terms but have two clarifying questions that I wanted to chat through with the hiring manager/HR on specific section on the contract. I asked for their availability.

It has been about 24 hours and I haven’t heard anything back. Should I be worried?

I always feel so cringe updating my new job status on LinkedIn. This is why I never notified my network. I know that it is a good thing to do, I’m trying my best to get over this mental state of mind.

Has anyone done through this or is it just me?

Is it a professional smart thing to do?
