I actually agree with the thought behind that post, although I wouldn't put it in the same language.

JEE Advanced is not really about solving ridiculously difficult mathematical manipulations or questions designed to test how many obscure techniques you know.

A good JEE Advanced question is often about  comprehension and understanding what is being asked, identifying the right structure, connecting ideas, and then executing the mathematics cleanly. There will obviously be questions that differentiate the very top ranks. But confusing “difficult-looking mathematics” with “good JEE Advanced mathematics” is a mistake.

I’m thinking of starting a “Question of the Day” series here, with one good JEE-level question to solve every day.
