Vomiting from Newborn
Hi all,
I'm really hoping someone can advise me.
Our little guy in just over 5 weeks but pretty much from day one he just vomits constantly, mostly after when burping but also happens randomly for example immediately after he wakes up from his nap.
We combi feed but we've tried nearly everything, paced feeding, holding him upright after each feed, had his tounge tie corrected, baby gaviscon, changing formulas.
The put it into prospective we probably go through 8 full size muslins a day and at least 5 outfit changes as sometimes we're not quick enough with the muslins.
He's at a health weight (66th percentile) and it doesn't really bother him, which made me think he might just be a happy spitter.. but at a certain point it's beyond spitting right?
We feed near constantly since a lot of it seems to be coming back up.
Has anyone had something like this and can offer advice to a desperate soul? Our first dozen midwives and health visitors said it was normal but when my partner went to the infant feeding class the specialist there finally saw it happen and immediately said 'thats not normal' which is how we ended up on the gaviscon. But that doesn't seem to be working so now we're utterly lost!
