Moved back to Ireland and finding dating really difficult — any advice? (32M)
I’m a 32M and recently moved back to Ireland from the UK after my dad was unwell, so I ended up leaving my job, friends, and life behind to come home.
Now I’m trying to rebuild things here, but dating has been a lot harder than I expected. I’m in a smaller town and it feels quite different to what I was used to in the UK. Less social events, less obvious ways to meet people, and generally smaller circles.
I’ve tried the usual things like dating apps and going out to pubs, but I’ve only had one proper meet from apps so far.
I’m just wondering how people actually meet partners in their 30s here, especially in smaller towns? Am I missing something obvious, or is it just a case of persistence and widening the net?
Would really appreciate any advice or experiences from people in a similar situation.
