My collection was never massive but it was excessive for a while

You know, 13 blushes, 3 z palettes filled with eyeshadow singles along with 4 other pre made palettes, 5 foundations. Not a massive collection but thats excessive. This was 2017. I realized after Covid that even if I did leave the house most days of the week I still wasn't using up products quickly enough. It caused me stress because a year would pass and I realized I only used a product a handful of times. A word of advice. Using up makeup will always feel better than buying more. I use terracycle to recycle my beauty empties and being able to get my money's worth out of something and have it recycled feels great. I feel like everyone has that realization eventually. I always knew influencers wanted to sell, but it really did feel predatory for a bit. I am happy with my stash now and everything gets loved. It all fits in a nice little container on my vanity.

Who actually tests the products at Lush?

Hearing the pumpkin scrubee smells like tobacco and soy sauce. The cinnamon spice latte SG smells like burnt coffee. Yikes. I would think after last years pumpkin spice fiasco things would be better. Also the Day of the Dead shower gel last year...blech. Lush has so many great products but do they actually have a good number of people testing them before bringing them to market?

Mint is an irritant

A brand that charges an arm and a leg for lipstick/glosses/balms that have mint in them can piss off. Im looking at you Hourglass and Dior. Same with Tarte. Sure they feel refreshing but overtime just chap my lips more. I dont rely on these products to heal my lips but it would be nice if they didn't mess them up while providing a pretty shade. Also have to add lavendar to as a sure fire way to eff up my lips

Im ready for fall stuff

I went in-store yesterday in NA and was dissapointed that there was no moomin instore and the summerween stuff looked really picked over and dirty. $9.50 for that small black cat bubble bar is insane. I didn't care for the scent of the Boo shower gel. Im ready for the fall shower gels, pumpkin scrubee, perfumes and bath stuff. C'mon Lush give me fall stuff!

BK Beauty is overpriced

What they charge for the synthetic hair sets. Unbelievable. You'd think there was whale bone in the handles. Ive had my real techniques since 2013. Still going strong.

Okay actually Grass Shower Gel is awesome

I posted a couple days ago saying I was excited to try it out after seeing it in my store and feeling kind of dissapointed in it but now that its almost gone I want to go buy the biggest size. I do wish they would bring Tramp SG back because I like the Tramp scent in the shower gummy but I am not a huge fan of the shower gummy format. Its okay but I prefer a body wash format.

What are products that are fine. You dont love it but dont hate it enough to return

I was stoked to see Grass shower gel in my store because I smelled it in 2013 and didn't care for it at the time. I wanted to give it another go and its fine. Its just fine but the slight hay undertone kinda throws me off a tad. I dont love it but I got the smaller size and its half gone. Im glad I got a sample of the tramp shower gummy because I like the smell but im not in love with the texture. Was happy to finally experience the scent but wish they'd bring the SG back! Also the shower gummies taste like an actual gummy. Not enough to take a huge bite but they definetely taste okay.

How much Lush do you need to truly feel satisfied?

Money is tight for me so I am making my stash last as long as I can before buying replacements/new things. How much Lush do you need to say "okay I am good for a few months at least". I would say, as long as I have a few mini shower gels along with a couple full size shower products like Ro's Argan(though I wont be repurchasing it since they changed the formula) or Yummy Custard, 3 to 4 little body lotions or massage bars, a few body sprays, im golden. I also like to keep a few bath bombs/bubble bars on hand. What about you? Is a minimal stash okay or do you need a plethora of options? No wrong answers!

I have to clarify about demos

Okay so people were asking me in my last thread why I would want to work at Lush if I don't want to do demos. Fair enough. Let me clarify. Its not that I dont want to do demos. I just find it unsanitary putting a used massage bar on several bodies throughout the day. Thats where my frustration comes from. Its objectively and egregiously unsanitary and dissapointing that post Covid Lush is okay doing that. Pots with washed spatulas are fine. Shower gels, great. Bath bombs/bubble bars, wonderful. Anyone who disagrees that putting a massage bar on several bodies throughout the day is unhygenic is dumb lol. And for those wondering im in the Bay Area lol.

I may get hired at Lush and....

As a temp employee and I do think the demand for demo's is very overzealous. I dont want to demo a used massage bar on people throughout the day. Its unsanitary. Potted lotions and washing hands with shower gel fine, but people can test stuff on themselves and ask for samples. Just seems really unessecsary and its wasteful for products.
