Silver Moon Soap

A soap that’s made with moon water and smells like my fav lush scent ( we believe in glinda) #yesplease ! :) I bought 4.

I’m wondering how long will these last unused because lush uses natural products and I don’t want it to go bad if I want to save them for later. 🤓🤔

I love 🩵

I have sensitive skin that tends to get dry and this is by far the best facial scrub I've ever had. It's so gentle but extremely effective, very moisturising, and don't get me started on the lovely creamy and slighly foamy consistency 😍 The scent is pleasant too, fresh but not too minty. What's not to love! Isn't there a slot free now among the ayr's, with smugglers soul gone...?

The Old Songs Are Waking!

It is relaxing to discuss some great products. I think TOSAW is irresistible. It's hard to describe. It's a little sweet, little powdery, little vanilla and musky and some bergamot and also a lot like the whole Lush store put together. I think it is wonderful. How about you? And not liking it opinions are welcome, it is not me downwoting any 😘

Body sprays as a room spray

Any recommendations for body sprays that are a nice clean scent that I can use as a room spray?

I have zesty, rosalina, rose jam, super milk and ltgtr but I feel like none of them are good as room sprays

I was thinking dirty or salty but I’m not sure which

my winter staples are gone😭😭😭

anyone else feel like the christmas range is a bit lacking this year lol
last year there was loads of christmas stuff and i remember seeing so many people saying there was way too much and that there’d be loads left over
but now it feels like they’ve gone completely the other way

no golden pear shower gel, no yog nog, no merry christmas everyone and barely any scrubs
i already have beef with lush and their lack of scrubs anyway ahaha

i completely get them wanting to cut back after last year but i feel like there could’ve been a middle ground just seems funny that last year it was too much and now people are asking if this is actually the whole range 😂

No more Fundraising product page

The “doing good” aspect of Lush is really important to me, so I try to buy mainly fundraising products but it is now impossible to find them with the new redesign…

Edit: It is a 404 in the German version.

super happy haul!!

went into lush today as i was nearby running another errand, just wanted to have a look and maybe buy a little something. imagine my joy when i see that they had a shelf full of the horsepower massage bar!!! :’D

i had to take one, i had no choice. it smells so warm and just spicy enough, the scent is like swedish winter/christmas in solid form. i can’t wait to try it out tonight!!

i also sniffed at some perfumes and ended up buying lord of misrule. good lord is all i can say. it smells divine and went so well with my skin. it smells warm and earthy and a bit spicy, i absolutely love it and can see myself buying the big bottle eventually.

that’s all, just wanted to share!! :D

What is a must have from lush?

I'm going to lush in a couple days with my dad.

I previously went to Lush abroad and got creme brulee body scrub and the olive oil body butter and loved it!

I want to go again now that I'm back in the UK, and I'm wondering what are any must have Lush items for you lot ?

As i wanna get for myself and my friends I thought it'd be nice to get recommendations,

I like sweet/fruity smelling stuff but am open to most scents I would like stuff to get rid of dead skin/acne.

So I wanted to know what are your must have items and you would suggest I get?

(My friend is into vanilla and my other friend is not picky).

Lavender / bedtime perfume recs?

Hiii guys.

I’ve recently returned to the Sleepy shower gel and moisturiser combo for bedtime, and I’m a perfume before bed girlie. Any recs for a nice sleepy spray or perfume to match?

reddit.com

Wasabi shampoo

I just used it for the first time and oh my god! You can really feel it working. My scalp was so tingly and minty almost I’m not sure how to describe it but even now after finishing up my shower routine and getting out I can still feel my scalp is tingly!

I mean most lush products I use do a great job and actually do what they say they will which is why I love lush, but this one wow!

🍋Super Milk🥛Puffletuft 🍋

Has anyone tried the Dua perfume “puffletuft” and is it similar to super milk? The super milk perfume is so expensive (resellers) and anyways not an exact match to the hair primer. (I’m looking for a parfum close to the hair primer and have already tried the SM body spray and glitter spray.)

From the Dua website, puffletuft’s notes are:

Italian Lemon, Coconut, Peach, Gardenia, Freesia, Sambac Jasmine, Bourbon Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, & Virginia Cedar Wood

Facial Gummies shrinkflation

The old facial gummies are 65 Gramms each and the new lucky cat one is more than one third less for the same price - is that a joke?

Face wash help

I smelled this in store and I’m highly tempted to get it BUT I have a question.. should I?
I have histamine intolerance and I react to almost anything on my face, yet I haven’t tried any lush facial products yet. I don’t currently use any face wash at all, just my hands, water, and elbow grease lol. I’m really wanting to find something I can use but I’m thinking maybe the scented items may be a no go. Any thoughts? If anything it smells so good I would use it as a body wash gummy instead.

New mods and new rules! r/lushcosmetics turns over a new leaf

Hello lovely Lushies,

I hope you are all having a great day wherever you are in the world.

Some of you may have noticed that the mod team has finally expanded! That's right, I am no longer the only mod on the block 🥳 and I hope you will all join me in wishing them a warm welcome.

Most of you know me and I have been here for quite a while but for those who don't: I am Billybobjimmyjames or BBJJ for short! My pronouns are she/her and I am in the GMT timezone. I have been a Mod here for about 6 years until this year where I became the lead mod due to being the only active one. Now onto the rule changes

Lush has massively grown in popularity and this subreddit is bigger than ever. Over time the tone has shifted and what once was a place known for attacting more eccentric types, is now part of main stream pop culture. The rules were old and so were no longer really reflecting how we want to run this community but more importantly they were not reflective of the values Lush holds. We are all drawn to Lush for different reasons but the thing that sets us apart is our community and our love for each other and the planet.
In order to keep that atmosphere, we spent some time putting together these new rules in the hopes of making this place better than ever. Im aware that not every choice we make will be popular and I don't expect everyone will immediately understand or love these new rules but I do hope with time, we will see a better side of the community. In the last couple of years we have had an uptick in people messaging or feeding back that the community is becoming snarky and negative. We do not want to stop any kind of valid critique of Lush here. We do not work for Lush and this should be a safe place to complain. We do, however, want to crack down on the negativity aimed at each other. By far the most broken rule was haul shaming and I think people would be shocked at how awful some of the comments truly can get. This should be a place where people can share their enthuasism for LUSH without getting roasted into oblivion or called 'Lush apologists'.
There are also some extra bits that I never thought we would need to write out like not posting NSFW pictures (yes that has really happens) and things like a ban on AI usage. It also lays out the rules that come into force every year around boxing day onwards so it is easier to familiarise yourself with it.

Please thoroughly read and familiarise yourself with these new rules as they come into force with immediate effect.

These new rules are:

Rule 1: RESPECT - No name calling or general rudeness

This community does not tolerate name calling, bashing, or any general rudeness. Lush is a global and inclusive company, and so are we! Be kind to your fellow Lushies. The list above is not exclusive and we will take into account the overall tone of what you are saying. It is okay to be critical of Lush but it is not okay to direct that at fellow Lushies. This includes any mentions on tastes and preferences in scents, products etc. This is not a snark sub so jokes at other expense will not be tolerated in any form. Disagreements with others can be had in a calm and repectful way. When your comment is removed you will receive a warning and 3 warnings will result in a ban. You may be banned outright at mod discretion if any of your comments are deemed to be particularly egregious.

Rule 2: Scamming and Dishonest trades

Before engaging in B/S/T please view the Community Scam Prevention post. Do not engage in any type of scamming or dishonest trading behaviour. Users found to not be holding up their end of a trade will be banned until the trade is completed. If something about the way another user is interacting with others is unusual then please reach out to the mod team.

Rule 3: Giveaways including QR codes and Contests

Please keep all QR codes and small giveaways to the monthly megathread. Make sure you follow the thread rules properly or your comment/post will be removed. Large giveaways require mod approval to be posted on the main page so that we can verify they are real and monitor post comments. Contests always require Mod approval at any time.

Rule 4: Self Promotion

All self promotion must be contained to the monthly megathread at all times. Self promotion includes friends of Lush links, Tiktok videos, blogs, youtube channels and videos, Surveys and reviews that link outside of the subreddit. Mods will expect to see equal or greater participation in discussion threads as your own self-posts.

If you post outside of the megathread then a warning will be issued via the removal reason attached to the remaoval. Further rule breaks will result in a ban.

Rule 5: Spoilers, Kitchen box and Lush training material

Lush official training material is given to employees early and often ends up on the internet before the official announcement of products. Official Lush confidential training material is not allowed to be posted. If an unofficial source releases information but it isn't the actual pages Lush puts out, those can be shared but they must be spoiler tagged. If you see an untagged spoiler please report it as we can add the tag retroactively.

Kitchen boxes are no longer required to be spoiler tagged. The original kitchen boxes featured a menu that people voted on, making the products you receive a surprise. The boxes no longer operate this way and so they no longer need to be spoiler tagged.

Rule 6: Megathreads

Please check the top of the sub for the megathread directory and use it. We have monthly buy/sell/trade threads for multiple regions, Lush alternatives megathread, a Self-promotion megathread and a Rewards and Giveaway megathread. All posts regarding any of this content must be kept in their respective threads. Please make sure you are checking regularly as we also add event related threads like the Discon megathread from time to time.

Rule 7: Haul or finance shaming

Please do not comment about the amount of products someone has or the money they have spent on their purchases or collections. You don't know them or their situation and this is a subreddit dedicated to a luxury product and people should be able to share their collections and interest without judgement. This includes asking how much money they have spent, asking about their job or how they earn their money, any kind of comment about use by dates, comments about how strong they must smell, comments about using too much product at once, comments about others not being able to get any of the products posted, comments about hoarding or the OP's mental health and comments about consumerism.

You CAN post about your own problems with lush collecting or hoarding, going on a no buy etc but you must create your own post and it must focus on you and not comment on others. Breaking this rule will result in a ban of varying length from 3 days upwards to permanent.

Rule 8: AMAs

AMAs are encouraged, but need to be discussed with the mod team in advance so that we can verify you and monitor the thread. We ask that AMAs be unique in nature and not just be 'I work for Lush'. All AMAs will have a comment from the mod team showing that we're in the loop and it has been approved; if you do not see that comment, please report it. If you would like to host an AMA, please reach out to the mod team in advance for approval.

Rule 9: Recommendations

When asking for recommendations please include some details. What is your skin like? What are some of your favorite products? What have you not liked? Providing details makes it easier for people to respond with helpful suggestions. Posts lacking in detail may be removed.

Rule 10: AI usage

The use of AI is strictly banned in this sub. Do not post AI generated text, descriptions, comments or photos at any time. If you do you risk being banned. Bots will be banned immediately.

Rule 11: Safety

Please do not post any personal details or identifiable information about yourself or anyone else! Also please do not post pictures of yourself or children here. Always ask before DMing another user and if you receive unsolicted messages from anyone please send us a modmail with screenshots and a username.

Rule 12: No NSFW posts or Accounts

Please keep all posts PG. Lush is inclusive of all ages and so are we! Try to keep swearing or profanity to an absolute minimum. Post from accounts advertising NSFW content on their profile will be banned immediately. If you are a sex worker and would like to engage with the sub please use a SFW alt account to do so.

Rule 13: Spam

All posts must relate to Lush. Please do not post about other brands here. Please limit your posts to a maximum of two per day.

Rule 14: Flairs

Please flair your posts to help keep things organised and to help other find your posts! Mods may change your post flair if necessary.

Rule 15: Ban evasion

We use Reddit's ban evasion tool to identify users who have created another account in order to get around a ban. Medium or low level will receive a warning but a ping for high confidence is an immediate ban. If you believe this to be incorrect please reach out to reddit admin and not the mod team as the mod team is unable to assist you. We can only go off of information provided by reddit.

Rule 16: Boxing day rules

The boxing day sales are the busiest time for the sub and due to the amount of posts we employ a few different rules that run from the 26th of December and end on March 1st. Firstly we introduce specific megathreads for different regions to talk about the sales including updates. DO NOT post on the main wall things along the lines of 'X is in stock on the website again go go go' as this belongs in the megathread.

We also introduce a shipping questions and woes megathread as every year their shipping is absolutely diabolical and the feed gets filled with 'Has anyone else not received their parcel yet?'. The only boxing day posts allowed on the main wall during this time period are haul photos. They must be a photo of the actual products in your possession. Checkout screen pictures are not allowed but may be shared in the discussion megathreads.

These rules will be posted alongside the megathreads as they go up each year.

Rule 17: Mod abuse

Mod abuse of any kind is not accepted and will result in an immediate, permanent ban. We are here to help you and to keep this place fun and engaging. We are not affiliated with Lush and are not paid to do this, we do it because we love the community and want to give back. We do not deserve abusive modmail message or DMs. If you feel we have made a mistake in our moderation or want to discuss further then please send us a modmail. We are happy to explain our decisions to you.

Congrats on reading this far! I know that was a lot (I really do its taken me months to pull all this together) and I hope that the nicest smelling corner of reddit can really flourish from here on out.

And with all of that said, I appreciate you all and thank you for being so patient.

I couldnt wait any longer to try out tumeric latte, i always skip out on trying it every year. I got a bottle on ebay. Its so cozy, like sitting in a coffee shop in ugg boots and drinking a spicy hot chocolate 🍂🍁☕️

Glory or Power

Having a hard time choosing between the two! They both sound good but I’m not sure. Have any of yall tried them? Which one would you recommend?

u/alyssateal1 — 1 day ago

What happened?

Hi guys so before I went into hospital nearly a month ago I put my massage bars and scrubees in my mini fridge. All of them are fine except my coconut drench and tumeric latte have gone all brown?? What is this?? They were both unused and put in clear plastic bags on their own.

For extra context the other items in my fridge are:

Scrubee Lovebug scrubee After Magik Wiccy

All of these are unaffected

Small, but Mighty… My Latest Skincare Obsession!!!

So, a few months ago I had a LUSH employee put me onto Full of Grace, and it’s been an absolute skin care game changer for me.
I’m a Lushie through and through but I would always walk right past these little wafers of holiness when I saw them in stores.

So, when they recommended one I thought to myself “what the hell, I’ve spent $18 on dumber things” and gave it a whirl, and I’m SO thankful I did.
My 43 year old skin absolutely drinks this serum, and my skin is glowing like it hasn't since I was in my early 20's. I put my best friend onto it and he agrees that his nose is no longer dry and his skin looks more radiant.
Yeah, oils tend to make you glow and shine, but this is different and I can't explain it… It’s a healthy glow and when I look in the mirror I’m like, wow!
I can’t recommend this product enough and I L-O-V-E it!!! 5 Stars! Do Recommend!

But like everything else, there are some downsides…
In our house we don't call it Full of Grace, we call it Compost, because that's what it smells like. It's a very unique, earthy scent that to me, smells like rotting vegetation.
However, the results are SO good that I don't even care about the smell. It tends to fade away and I’m not left with stank face all day.
Also, I've seen reviews and heard LUSH employees complain about the quarter-scored wafer design. It used to be a small bar that lasted longer and was easier to apply. I didn’t know or use the product then, so I can’t really speak on that, but I would prefer a bar I believe.

Anyways! Next time you go into a LUSH store see if they’ll give you a sample or splurge a little.
Because you too might just find yourself as obsessed as I am!
