My son is approved and in the non medical portion of the process. He received survivor benefits up until he turned of age. During that time his mental health was declining and his onset day is in the same year that he was receiving survivor benefits. My question is can they go all the way back to that year and pay back pay? Also would I qualify for auxiliary and back pay the same as his? Edited…… can they go back to when he turned of age on backpay? His DAC will go off of his deceased father.
