Study Paralysis

Not sure if I’m burnt out, but whenever I try to study, I end up opening a million different tabs. Then I keep cycling through the same few websites: LinkedIn, Reddit, Gmail, etc. I’ll hyperfixate on something for like 10–15 minutes and then realize I haven’t actually studied at all. I’m finding it really hard to lock in. Does anyone have tips for reducing distractions on a laptop, especially when most of my schoolwork has to be done on it?

leaving an RA volunteer role

Hi, I'm wanting to leave my volunteer RA role because my PI has been doing some shady stuff. For example, they told me not to tell the main organization that I volunteer more than the hours listed in the role description + won't let me use the hour tracking platform. I was also told when I joined that I would first focus on a certain topic, which I was really interested in and was actually the main reason I accepted the role. However, I haven't been working on that topic at all.

My PI also doesn't really let me volunteer elsewhere. I slipped up once and accidentally mentioned that I volunteer at a local NPO, and they got a little strict afterward and started saying things like they would let me go from the lab. I want to leave, but I really don't want to leave on a bad note. I just feel like a PI shouldn't be limiting a student's ability to pursue other opportunities, especially outside of the lab. I've also noticed that the old lab members don't work there anymore, which feels a little shady to me and makes me wonder if maybe they left for similar reasons? I'm obviously not sure, but I wanted some advice on how I can leave on a good note without ruining potential future opportunities.

YVR to YYZ --> advice?

So my grandparents, who are old, are flying flair for a family event. Their going from yvr to yyz. They don't travel alot, and when they do, they haven't flown with flair before. They both will have checked baggage which makes me a bit more nervous. Any advice to prepare them for their visit is appreciated. TIA!

Extending degree timeline to increase GPA

I’m planning to extend my degree by an extra year to give myself more time to improve my GPA. My dilemma is that I’ve already completed a 12-month co-op, which extended my degree as well. Has anyone else taken longer than expected to complete their undergrad? If so, how did you navigate the feeling of being “behind” or not following the traditional four-year timeline?

Any advice is appriciated!

Can't find a design

Long story short, many of my designs have similar names. I can't find a specific design from a year-ish ago, but I remember a certain distinct image I added to it. Can I search for my designs using an image function or no?

Where to buy a compass card?

Hi! I lost my Compass Card and need to buy a new one. When I try to get one from the machines at the station, it only seems to offer a prepaid option, but I already pay for U-Pass. The London Drugs closest to me is sold out. Does anyone know where else I can get a Compass Card, or if there’s a way to get one from the station machines without adding prepaid value? TIA
