Macau's population density is three times that of HK, but it feels nowhere near like it and at times - empty.

Attribute **Hong Kong ** **Macau **
Total Population ~7.4 million ~720,000
Land Area ~1,100 km² ~33 km²
Average Density ~7,000 people / km² ~22,000 people / km²
Global Density Rank 4th overall 1st overall

the only place I find it crowded is near the Ruins of St. Paul's (it's not even that bad to be honest) and really other than that I find streets of Macau very very walkable and don't feel claustrophobic at all. Residential areas in both Macau side and Taipa had a lot less people on the street. streets in Cotai are nice and wide and I find that area super chill.

But on the other hand I find the streets of HK to be polar opposite. not to mention Kwun Tong (my least favourite busy area), Mong Kok, CWB, even in residential areas, there's just people everywhere on the street. SO MANY PEOPLE. SO SO SO MANY PEOPLE. everywhere I go there are people.

I wonder what the reason for this is and if anyone else feels the same..

Are only new train captains assigned to Tuen Ma line trains? I experience sudden breaks EVERY SINGLE DAY and I'm really curious as to why.

Yes yes I know it gets us from A to B yadda yadda but why is it that out of 3 lines I use every day (Tsuen Wan/Island/Tuen Ma) I only experience sudden breaks on TM line? Is it a starting line for new captains with less experience? Diff train model?

I've seen people almost fall over because of this numerous times. Sometimes annoying af tbh - the previous train left 7 freaking minutes ago and there should be nothing in front so why need to apply such brute force breaks?

On the other hand I find Island line and TW lines are on a whole other level, precise and clean execution at every single station.
