A few weeks ago my wife was coming off the highway to turn right. The car in front of her went to turn onto the street but then stopped suddenly and my wife ended up hitting her.

The woman exited the car and apologized, saying she just recently began driving. Neither of them exchanged insurance info, took photos, or called the police. They did exchange phone numbers which led to the woman reaching out for insurance info the following day.

I told my wife to ask for pictures of damage, which the woman did not send.

Now we have a claim and aren’t sure what next steps are. We call our insurance back and tell the story? We get a lawyer? Any help is appreciate as this is my first time w anything like this as well
