I recently had a petition denied, and I’m honestly hoping to get a chance to clarify or re-explain some parts of my situation. I saw on the university website that there is an appeal process, so I’m wondering if anyone here has gone through it before.

Do appeals actually get seriously reviewed, especially if you provide new explanations? Or are they rarely reconsidered once a decision has already been made?

I’d really appreciate hearing about other people’s experiences with the process, whether your appeal was successful or not, how long it took, and whether you felt they genuinely considered what you submitted.
