Range hood has power and bulb sockets read 120V, but lights and fan don’t turn on
Hi all. It’s mostly in the title.
I’m visiting my parents, whose range hood (Kenmore 233.5501200) has power, which I confirmed with Klein CL220 NCV detector and the little Klein magic wand, switching the breaker on and off to confirm, and I’m getting 120V contact readings in both of the hood’s light bulb sockets (both standard E26 screw format).
When I screw in a normal household 8.8W LED bulb or a specialized 5.5W range hood LED bulb, they don’t turn on. But when I screw in another 15W LED bulb (pictured), it turns on but is very dim compared to when it’s screwed in a normal lamp (it looks waaaay brighter in the photo than in real life). There are three light buttons, which I assume are dimmers, but they don’t seem to make a difference with the one bulb that dimly lights.
There are also three fan speed buttons, but none of them turn the fan on.
Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
