AITJ for making sure my girlfriend’s father faces justice?
I (14m) have recently lost a father, and while I was still grieving my girlfriend’s (13F) father has plotted high government treason, that would involve overthrowing me. He fully confessed to his treason and said that he was planning to kill me and get the power for himself. So, to make sure that I don’t feel partial to him, because he may be my future father in law, I ordered to execute him (a traditional punishment for this type of crime in my country).
Despite my girlfriend being associated with a family of traitors of the country, I didn’t break up with her. I also took her to see her father’s resting place, as I thought looking at it will give her some closure. My family has taken her in and provides her with a very comfortable life, but she is still mad at me. So reddit AITJ for making sure that justice is served and not going soft on her father just because he could be my father in law in the future?
