I was offered trough the administrator of the apartment where I live a "Preflytningsyn" free of charge. The company came and started looking and taking pictures and then comes up with an offer of what it would cost to bring everything to the good state.

This is free and you can reject it but I was asked to sign to confirm they were there to which I refused since I assume the signature on the ipad where you can't see anything would do more than agreeing that they were there - which makes no sense to sign for. I asked for them to send me the "tilbud" without signing and they said it's not possible.

They estimated around 43k DKK for a 60m2 apartment. They wanted to replace 2 cabinets and a door that have a small dent, 7k for that and suggested I replaced them myself. There is a cabinet door before I came that had a similar dent which I documented on my report before moving in and tried to explain those small dents should be patched, not the whole thing replaced. They also want to paint all walls and ceilings which they estimate at 22k even though I have lived for 2 years and there's no holes on the walls, only on the ceilings for the lights. That quote is also ridiculous. I also pointed that there is a crack on the wall they haven't replaced and that when there was water damage they patched it. I also documented pictures where I can see other patches before I moved in. They said if you accept the tilbud there is a 6k that you get reduced. This is predatory.

I declined the offer and decided to e-mail the administrator right away citing 187 stk1 and the principle of proportionality and how replacing those things and painting everything would violate those. That I will not accept it, that we need to find a reasonable compromise, and that I hope we can cooperate without having to bring huslejenaevn into it. My plan is when the syn comes if they don't have a reasonable estimate I will just refuse to sign, try to negotiate one more time and else just file a claim to huslejenaevn which will agree with me since what they are asking for is completely unreasonable. I showed pictures to some friends about what they wanted to replace and they basically laughed at the whole situation.

Did I do the right thing? Others on the same situation?
