Question(s) regarding "Enneacraft - Archa.Tail"

"After this card was flipped face-up, while it is in the monster zone, each time a monster(s) is sent to your opponent's GY, they take 900 damage."

Question number 1: is this a lingering effect that just happens when the requirement is met, or does Tail activate to inflict the damage (which would give my opponent the opportunity to do something)?

Question number 2: does the damage count per monster that is sent or just once per sent? For example if an XYZ Monster gets sent to the GY with 2 monsters as materials, does the 900 damage trigger once or three times?

This isn't really a "who would win" but rather a "how long could Destoroyah survive" kind of deal.

Destoroyah has some extremely high scaling due to being able to dominate most of his fight with Godzilla in their movie and his micro oxygen weaponry could do extremely well against organics like the Tyranids. He can also tank multiple hits from Godzilla's infinite heat ray. The real question here is how he deals with the mass. Technically he can split up and make more of himself but that would simply be outshone by the nids far more perfected biomass distribution system.

I think at least the first few waves of Tyranids would get nasty surprises from him until they either overwhelm him or adapt to counter his micro oxygen weapons.

Edit: I wonder if after a lot of Bloodshed Khorne would take interest in the red Armageddon maker (Destoroyah).
