If you had to show someone one episode...

If you can only show someone one episode to convince them to watch the show - and it cannot be a season premiere episode - which episode would you pick?

What other couples in media remind you of Buffyverse pairings?

I'm curious what books/movies/shows feature couples that remind people of popular Buffyverse ships.

For some of my examples:

- Elena/Stefan (Vampire Diaries) can feel similar to Bangel.

- Emma/Hook (OUAT) feel similar to Spuffy and have some writing overlap. Cat/Bones from the Night Huntress book series remind me of them too.

- Catradora (Netflix's She-Ra) feels like it would appeal to Fuffy shippers.

Etc.

Which ones remind you of Buffyverse characters and pairings?

Trans-Possession in The Pack

I'm curious how everyone thinks that the hyena spirits worked in The Pack.

Giles says that:

"They believe that humanity, consciousness, the soul is a perversion, a dilution of spirit. To them, the animal state is holy. They are able, through trans-possession, to draw the spirit of certain animals into themselves."

We know that Xander retains his memories after the trans-possession. We also were shown that he still has some traits of his human self (such as wanting Buffy/jealousy towards Angel, etc.) and his memories while influenced by the hyena. So, does this work similarly to how vampires in that universe have the human personality/memories with the demon (or, in this case, hyena) added? Did Xander and the others still have their souls during it?

I'm curious to hear people's thoughts.

What single-episode character do you wish we got more of?

I think Ford's plotline would have been much more impactful if they had him show up a couple of episodes before Lie to Me, as one of mine.
