Hi everyone. I really need support as I can't stop crying. I'm 29, and I developed IBS literally overnight. I lived a life with an iron stomach, could eat literally anything, yet woke up on 26th March 2022 getting severe and urgent diarrhea after literally anything and everything I eat.

As awful as this was I could at least manage it because it would only happen after I eat, and imodium could help. However, now it seems to just happen at any given moment. I could be sitting at home relaxing and then out of nowhere I am given the signal that I have only a few seconds to reach the bathroom. I have had a few accidents already. I don't understand why it seems to happen randomly now. And now imodium causes severe stabbing pains in my upper abdomen.

So right now my life is either constantly live in fear of an accident or have stabbing pains when trying to stop it. I'm practically housebound. I only work part time but even that is difficult. I'm currently crying because my 30th birthday will be spent at home and I won't even get to have a birthday cake.

I don't know why my body failed one day randomly 4 years ago. To this day there is zero explanation. Other than SIBO, which came back almost immediately after stopping the antibiotics (which caused extreme nausea). But every other test was normal. Normal stool samples, normal small bowel MRI, normal blood tests.

I guess I'm only here to rant, because changing my diet or fasting won't help either, fasting actually makes the diarrhea even worse. I'm not normal. Nothing works for me anymore.
