Hello guys Im 18m living in Location: SoCal and have question I work in cell phone repair shop kiosk that does repairs and also sells accessories I work on commission and get paid in cash daily. I got hired their when I was 17 in july 2025 and the original deals was either 13 an hour or 60 percent of sale after cost like rent, sales tax, and machine cost, parts cost When I first started working I was fine with commission deal cause I wasn't charged as much for my part and my fees for card machine was only 5 for low end days and 10 for very high day in card machine only now its 5 for 400 under counting cash and 10 for day at 400 or over with cash. But over time the owner started charging way more on the part of the repair and also accessories I first found Cause I was suspicious cause on days where I was making 400-500 I was earing way less then before I found the website for our parts and confronted my boss he said it his business and if I didn't like I could walk off. Recently its been getting worse his brother who work on another side of the mall will steal my sales by saying he know the customer or he talked to them before. I've started collecting evidence of me working there just in case I have message starting from nov of last year of him telling when my days are when to come in. I also have photo of notebook where we do the calculation and their is message on WhatsApp where my boss was abroad showing it 60 percent split and how it work, google map data from jan this year, Messages of me texting customer that their phone is ready and also photos of on the job site, my average pay per hour would be around 7-10 an hour over time. what should I do Im low income an student and Cant afford to pay for a lawyer.
