Should I get a slightly rusted E46 over a Merc C220CDI
Hi all, I'm in a slightly sicky situation here. I have to pick between 2 cars: A 2003 E46 330D Auto with 180k miles which has some rust on the underside of the car, other than that the car is fine. Then on the other hand there is a Mercedes 220CDI Auto (130K Miles) with not really any issues other than not having the best bodywork. With the E46 I'd have to spend extra money on sorting out the rust but I'm not too sure how much that would be. My friend's dad said he could do it but he hasn't really got a price(he said to get it to good condition depending on how bad it is, it could be up to £1000), he just said the rust is not the best but not the worst either. Both the cars are £1500(£1000 + my beat up fiesta) however I do Like the E46 A lot more. I could find out where the rust is if needed, but I just want to know if the car is an endless money pit or something I could keep for a little while then sell in a year or 2.
