Made a dress for my friend’s kid, they love it

My best friend’s kid is new to wearing Lolita casually and saw that I make my own dresses. They mentioned once last year that they liked my Love Bear JSK. They are graduating in a couple of weeks so I made them a skirt with the leftover Love Bear fabric and surprised them with this blue bear print JSK and accessories to go with it. And it has DEEEEEEEP POCKETS!! I have the matching pink fabric and will be making one for myself to twin with them💙🩷

The fun part about being a handmade Lolita is that every time I make a new JSK, Usami gets one too💙 Often times, she’s better coorded than I am lol. Accessories made with satin ribbon, lace and scrap fabric from my recent Coastal Dream Maiden JSK.

Was holding on to this coastal floral print and thought it would be a good Sophie-inspired jsk. I have realized it’s time to adjust my pattern since I’ve lost a bit of weight. This was my first time using SewBlack’s tiered skirt YouTube tutorial, and I attached it to my modified Oleander bodice pattern. I wanted to do a hat closer to Sophie’s sun hat, but didn’t have one in time for the market.
