iPhone 8 Plus battery issue
Hey there! New to this sub, hope I'm not unwelcome.
I recently bought an iPhone 8+ and also had an old broken one on my shelf. I (out of curiosity) decided to swap the battery from the broken one into the working one, and used it that way for about a week. I then switched back the original battery today and it did work for a bit, but then gave me a "Battery not genuine" message along with hiding the battery percentage on the phone and not showing health data. I looked at some other forum posts but couldn't see a solution for my specific problem. Should I purchase a battery programmer and use that to reprogram the battery? If so which one? I was looking at the cheap A108 because I have a very limited budget and would prefer not to go to a local repair shop to have it done, since I could use this tool in the future.
