So i bought a iphone 13 for 30€ broken backglass screen but works no lines no nothing and stated even that it has 64gb lol in description. Camera is also faulty but i dont care about that i have spare parts. Seller stated in description that it is unlocked, asked her again because it would be a good deal then, she said its removed. I got phone 1 hour before, put it on charge, info is not removed. Checked imei number from sim tray on website and…. Trumss… icloud is on. If seller gives me information to remove icloud all good, but if it doesnt and i need to talk to Vinted ,do you think I have chance to get full refund and maybe even keep the item in this situation,im going on a holiday in a few days and im not back for 2 weeks, and this stuff can go on for long time ,so if i get refund i am not able to ship it because im not home. Thanks for hearing my story im looking forward to your thoughts
Apples later designs eg. iPhone 12 & above, is really annoying to take off without damaging the display, especially later models where the glue require even hotter temperatures, where the temperature risk destroying the pixels. Usually that destruction happens almost instantly without warning.
My thought is to apply a thin layer of thermochromic plastic* over the screen, this would allow me to see the temperatures in real time, without having to faf about with expensive thermal cameras or other solutions.
(*Plastic that changes color depending on temperature, sometimes seen on aquariums as thermometers)
BUT, I have only found low-temperature thermochromic plastic, does anyone know if there exist some such plastic that is decently tuned to the temperatures needed for screen removal?
Or, if some company can custom make a plastic that is tuned to the right temperatures? (bonus points if it's a Swedish company).
Thanks.
Iphone 13 64gb,and if i would sell it screen mint battery new original and everything working but backglass broken, how much € could i sell it for? The reason im overthinking is because who buys 64gb even in 2026,maybe wont be worth a repair, can use it as my secondary. I dont want to replace backglass only because i dont have proper tools and diy is pain in the a55 to do as i did it on my main 13 ,NEVER AGAIN.
Hi all,
I just had my ipad screen replaced for £200, the bottom looks super messy.
Should i suck it up or go back and ask them to rectify it?
Thanks
While cleaning dust i noticed this narrow gap at the top of my screen where a lot of dust is now stucked.
It appears too clean to be broken but I never noticed it before!
Is it normal?

Good day, I recently bought a second hand Iphone X-it somehow has a hidden issue. It keeps restarting every 3 minutes and is stuck on 0% remaining. The battery health is also not visible in settings and the owner said that the battery has been recently replaced. What could possibly be the problem? Could it be the charging flex, battery itself, or the motherboard? The past owner is currently not responding so I can't ask for the real issues.

For context, I plugged in my previously wet (It was barely wet.) charger, which I let dry for 6 months until I needed it back - since my last one got completely flooded, I won't tell why though. When I plugged it in, it was charging and stopped after 30 seconds. When I unplugged and plugged it again, it didn't fix anything. After 8 hours, I started to get issues with Bluetooth and WiFi connections, I couldn't connect my AirPods - but there was a bypass. I could hard reset the phone, and connect it but the problem was that after 40-60 seconds it reset, and I was unable to connect again. Does anyone know what I have to do at this moment? I'm unsure if I have to go to get a repair or is it fixable.
Oh, and just for clarification - I can't access any recovery or fix mode due to the phone not being able to connect to the WiFi.

my phone battery isnt low. it randomly shut off and keeps flashing the apple symbol
i did what it said online, completely shutting it down and then leaving it to charge for 30-60 minutes
it still isnt turning on, just keeps flashing, what do i do?
the only reason that i can come up with for this happening is that earlier in the day there was heavy downpoor and some water got on my phone, but it wasnt soaked or anything. i use my phone for both work and transactions since i tend to not have my card on me. im really gonna need it tomorrow so does anyone have any solutions that would resolve this problem by then? or am i just gonna have to get it fixed somewhere
I'm honestly really frustrated with how this situation has been handled, so I'm hoping someone here might have some advice.
I spent my summer vacation abroad. In mid-July, I went to the beach with my family one day, and afterward I charged my iPhone 13. At the time, I didn't think anything was wrong. My phone was working normally, but shortly afterward I started noticing that it wouldn't stay on for very long and would randomly shut off at around 30%.
I checked the battery health and saw that it was at around 68%. That made me look more closely at the phone, and I realized that one side of it was sticking outward significantly. The battery had swollen. I didn't know what to do so I looked it up online to see if anyone else had been in a similar situation, where I read that a swollen lithium-ion battery can be dangerous and should be dealt with immediately. There unfortunately aren't any Apple Stores where I was, so I went to an Apple-authorized repair shop.
The technician said that it was a good thing I had brought the phone in because the swollen battery was a safety hazard. He didn't have a replacement iPhone 13 battery available, but he removed the swollen battery for me and specifically told me to get a new battery installed at an Apple Store in the US.
I was actually relieved because I was worried about traveling with a swollen battery, especially since I had an 8-hour flight coming up. I trusted that I was doing the safest thing by having the dangerous battery removed.
About three weeks later, I arrived in the US and went straight to an Apple Store. This is where things became incredibly frustrating.
They told me that because the battery had already been removed, they couldn't run their normal diagnostics on the phone and therefore couldn't service it. My options, according to them, were essentially to buy a new iPhone or go to a third-party repair shop.
This is what is so frustrating to me: the battery was removed by an Apple-authorized service provider, who told me that I should have Apple install the replacement battery in the US. But then an Apple Store in the US told me they can't do anything precisely because the battery was removed.
I understand that Apple has policies regarding repairs and diagnostics but I'm having a hard time understanding why I'm being penalized for doing what I was told was the safest thing to do. How am I supposed to know that the advice from an Apple-authorized service provider would prevent me from getting the phone serviced at an Apple Store later?
I was scared that the swollen battery could be dangerous, so I had it removed by an Apple-authorized repair shop. I didn't modify the phone myself or try to repair it. I specifically went to a professional because I wanted to handle the situation safely.
I even went to Best Buy the next day (in the US) to see if they could help. The employee told me he was glad the battery had been removed because he and his coworker had apparently been sent to urgent care on two separate occasions after inhaling fumes from swollen iPhone batteries. Unfortunately, he also couldn't install a replacement battery because of Apple's policies.
Now I'm left with an iPhone 13 that was working perfectly fine aside from the battery. The phone has no other problems that I'm aware of. It just needs a new batter.
I'm also not expecting Apple to give me a brand-new phone for free. I understand that an iPhone 13 is an older phone now, and realistically I probably would have replaced it in another year or two anyway. But having to replace it right now, when I know the phone was otherwise completely functional, is extremely frustrating, especially as a college student who really doesn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a new phone unnecessarily.
Am I missing something here? Is there anything I can do?
I'm also open to Samsung/Android suggestions.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
My ex dropped my phone, which shattered the back screen. He refused to fix it. Now, I’m looking to repair my phone, as I have prior experience tinkering with electronics. I plan to buy a proper heat gun and a kit from iFixIt, they just don’t have the back glass I need. Any reputable black screen replacements? Located in US
A few days ago, I changed the battery in my phone. Right after, whenever I called people, they could hear a ticking sound like a clock. I opened the phone again to try and fix it, but I made it worse. Now my phone can't even stay on for more than 2-3 minutes before shutting off on its own.
There’s a video exemple
Here is a panic log from my iPhone 15 Pro showing SMC PANIC - SMC BSC failure, TAOJ. The phone keeps restarting every three minutes on the dot, and plugging it into the charger triggers an immediate reboot as well. I did a physical inspection of the components and noticed a small lesion on the dock flex cable. I have to make sure this is not a motherboard issue. The taptic engine and the speaker work.
I'm a little confused. I was doing repair on my iPhone XS Gold 256GB, it was necessary to replace the screen. I bought a donor iphone xs, black and 64 GB, but on icloud lock, I only needed the screen from it. I moved the proximity sensor from my old display to the donor one, plugged in and turned on the phone, but after turning it on, I noticed that part of the touchscreen was not working (about 5 cm from the top). I put the old screen back, everything works. I put the donor screen on the donor, everything works. I put my screen on the blocked donor and there's the same situation! It is on my iPhone that the donor screen does not want to work properly. I also noticed that if you tap on the upper area on the locked state where the touchscreen does not work, the phone turns on, meaning the tap to wake function is working. I rechecked the touchscreen cable and reconnected it several times, but it did nothing. In my 5 years of iPhone repair experience, I only came across this when I put a copy of the iphone 8 display on the iphone 7 and the sensor didn't work there. Maybe someone has encountered this?

Hi everyone! I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, and recently it stopped charging through the charging port. When I plug it into a cable, nothing happens, even though the cable itself works fine.
However, when I attach a wireless/MagSafe-type battery charger to the back of the phone, it does charge normally.
There was also one time when my phone completely powered off and wouldn't turn back on for almost two days, which makes me worried that there might be a hardware issue.
- iPhone 14 Pro Max
- iOS is fully updated
- Charging cable seems to be working
- Wireless charging works
- Wired charging does not work
Does anyone know what could be causing this? Could it be a problem with the charging port, battery, or something else? Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be really appreciated!
My iPhone 13 mini was at around 15–20% battery when it suddenly shut off. Since then, it keeps boot looping. Apple logo appears, turns off, then repeats.
After leaving it plugged in for a while, it sometimes boots and shows 0% battery, but doesn’t show the charging symbol and has never gone above 1%, even after charging for over an hour.
I’ve tried both wired charging and MagSafe with the same result, so it doesn’t seem to just be the charging port.
Has anyone had this happen? Does this sound like a dead battery, or potentially a logic board/power management issue?
Update:
Left it on charge overnight…now when I try to turn it on unplugged nothing happens. As soon as I plug it in…stuck on apple logo
Hello,
I have only had my iphone 17 for about half a year and everything has been fine until now. I recently started using a new charger for it. Today when I plugged my phone in, it wouldn't charge and powered off when I unplugged it. I was able to turn it back on after a while by pressing the volume+power buttons. I tried plugging it in again and the same thing happened.
After that, I noticed my phone was burning battery extremely fast even on airplane mode. During this time I checked my battery health and it was still normal. At that point I turned it off and wasn't able to turn it back on for like an hour, even with it plugged into a (different) charger.
Finally I tried charging it with a wireless charger and it finally turned on, but now it indicates that it is charging but is actually slowly losing battery.
Is there any way that the charger somehow broke the battery? It was fine before I plugged it into that charger. Has anybody had a similar experience? How long does this kind of thing take to fix. I did try charging my macbook with that charger and it didn't work either so I suspect it. TIA
