[Help] My iPhone 14 Pro Max not charging through cable, but charges wirelessly — what could be wrong?

Hi everyone! I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, and recently it stopped charging through the charging port. When I plug it into a cable, nothing happens, even though the cable itself works fine.

However, when I attach a wireless/MagSafe-type battery charger to the back of the phone, it does charge normally.

There was also one time when my phone completely powered off and wouldn't turn back on for almost two days, which makes me worried that there might be a hardware issue.

- iPhone 14 Pro Max

- iOS is fully updated

- Charging cable seems to be working

- Wireless charging works

- Wired charging does not work

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Could it be a problem with the charging port, battery, or something else? Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be really appreciated!

Am I [21F] expecting too much, or is my boyfriend [22M] lacking effort? ❤️

I’m 21F and my boyfriend is 21M. I love him so much, and overall he is genuinely a very good boyfriend. When we are physically together, he is extremely sweet, caring and affectionate. He respects me, has never shouted at me, and makes me feel safe and loved. He has also introduced me to his family, and they have been very loving towards me. So I don't want this post to sound like I think he is a bad boyfriend, because I genuinely don't.

My issue is mainly effort, especially small romantic gestures.

Yesterday was Girlfriend's Day. I texted him saying, "You forgot something." He kept asking me what, and eventually I told him to search what day it was. He realized it was Girlfriend's Day and said he genuinely forgot. I was hurt because I was expecting him to remember and wish me. To me, it wasn't about the actual day or getting anything expensive—it was about him remembering and making me feel special.

I told him that I felt like he doesn't put effort into things like this and that he doesn't really like doing these little things for me. He told me he genuinely likes me and didn't intentionally forget, but that he doesn't like these kinds of "formalities." He said these are very small things and that I was making the situation bigger than it needed to be. He also brought up Valentine's Day, because I had previously been upset when he didn't wish me then either.

He apologized several times and told me he was sorry. The next day, I was still being very dry with him because I was hurt. He noticed and asked why I was being distant. We talked more, and eventually he said that he wasn't able to be emotionally available at that moment, especially over the phone, and apologized again.

The conversation ended with me saying, "It's okay, thanks for clearing things," and he sent me a ❤️, which I reacted to. We haven't talked since.

I think what hurts me is that these things are small to him, but they aren't small to me. I don't need expensive gifts or grand gestures. I just want little things sometimes—remembering important days, planning something, surprising me, or doing something simply because he knows it would make me happy.

At the same time, I don't want to be unfair to him. He is genuinely loving and caring when we're together, and I know he loves me. Maybe he just expresses love differently and doesn't see these occasions as important.

am I expecting too much? Did I handle this situation badly? Should I apologize for making it into such a big argument, or should I stand by what I said about wanting more effort? And how should I approach the conversation when we talk again?

How can I safely lighten dark pigmentation on my inner thighs and vulva?

"I'm very fair-skinned, but I have significant dark pigmentation on my inner thighs and around my vulva. I also have darker underarms. Has anyone experienced this, and what did a dermatologist recommend? I'm wondering if it could be related to friction, hormones, or insulin resistance.

Can anyone read my palm?

Hi everyone! I’m curious if anyone here knows how to read palms. I’ve attached a picture of my palm—if anyone can read it, I’d love to know what you can tell me about my personality, love life, career, or future. 😊
