iPhone XS display problem
I'm a little confused. I was doing repair on my iPhone XS Gold 256GB, it was necessary to replace the screen. I bought a donor iphone xs, black and 64 GB, but on icloud lock, I only needed the screen from it. I moved the proximity sensor from my old display to the donor one, plugged in and turned on the phone, but after turning it on, I noticed that part of the touchscreen was not working (about 5 cm from the top). I put the old screen back, everything works. I put the donor screen on the donor, everything works. I put my screen on the blocked donor and there's the same situation! It is on my iPhone that the donor screen does not want to work properly. I also noticed that if you tap on the upper area on the locked state where the touchscreen does not work, the phone turns on, meaning the tap to wake function is working. I rechecked the touchscreen cable and reconnected it several times, but it did nothing. In my 5 years of iPhone repair experience, I only came across this when I put a copy of the iphone 8 display on the iphone 7 and the sensor didn't work there. Maybe someone has encountered this?
