Hello, I have a 14-year-old male malamute that has been with me since he was 8 weeks old. He is my everything.

Yesterday he had some kind of movement episode (query seizure?) and we took him to the vet right away. Previously, he was diagnosed with a slow-growing cancerous tumour in February of 2025 and the vet thinks that it may have metastasized to his brain.
When we got home from the vet my dog was fine and acting normal. However; after dinner, he suddenly had all the symptoms of a stroke and we rushed him to the emergency vet. I was told he may have vestibular disease or something more neurologically pressing.
The emergency vet gave us Meclizine and said to just see how he is in a few days.
My question: How long does one wait to see if quality of life improves? This is pure torture to watch, I feel helpless and gutted. He will eat some small amounts of food and then drink water. He is having a hard time urinating and can not stand on his own or walk.
I know the vet said this COULD improve, but it also couldn't. How long do we wait? is this fair? I am a mess. Seeking guidance.
