Rare breed of garbage - Nuphy Air75 V3

So, I recently posted a review of Node75 which I had to return because metalic sound, faulty switches and signal interference, thanks again to people for pointing all of this out and helping me test this.

While I am waiting for Keychron K3 HE and ultra to come out, I decided to trust Nuphy once again and go with the premium option. Hey, maybe my Node75 was a one time thing. Nope, far from that.

With air75 v3, my first experience started with a failed firmware upgrade, and a faulty switch on at least T, F, J switches, I stopped testing further because why would I, I am just gonna return it.

Feel is nice, metalic sound is a lot less because case is structured better it seems, aluminum top is overrated, you forget about that about like an hour, plastic on node75 was just fine.

Firmware is still garbage, as signal interference is also here when you’re playing on 2.4 dongle.

Anyway, as a lot of people pointed out in this thread before me, just don’t buy Nuphy, qc is shit, firmware is shit, support is usually shit too, delivery with Yuntrack and other stuff also doesn’t really help with customer experience.

Anyway, that’s my review, I could’ve gone into more detail about the keyboard itself, but there’s already plenty of that on the internet.

Attached a video of a simple key test showing a faulty T button.

Node 75 Low Profile Review

Edit: Ended up returning it after all the negative comments. Started testing the keyboard real hard, like playing for a couple of hours which I do regularly, just didn’t have time this week right after I bought it, tried to write some code for a couple of hours, .etc. Results are as expected, missing keys, double keys, metal sound, all in place. Honestly disappointed cause it could’ve been one of the best low profile keyboards on the market.
My next steps would be to wait until keychron K3 HE and Ultra release and in the meantime trying to slap Outemu GTMX switches with womier low profile keycaps on top on my Akko 5075B.
That’s it everyone, thanks for saving my ass from a major headache!

I love this keyboard and will be using it for the foreseeable future, it’s simply amazing, the software, the sound, the feel, the size, the height, the connectivity, the build, simply amazing.

Now let’s go to bad things, firmware is kinda lacking, Bluetooth works fine, but 2.4ghz struggles from signal interference badly.
It’s lighter grey than official photos.
Lack of shine through keycaps in this price range is a shame and a shameless attempt to make you pay more than you should. Don’t bother with that, just go buy some womier shine throughs on ali.
Also, lack of switch availability is a bit concerning but I hope it gets better in the future.

Next, vs Air 75 V3
Just get this man, typing feel is almost the same if not better, it’s cheaper, sounds better
And we need to stop Nuphy and other brands from pulling shit like air 75 v3 and making it so hard to customize and repair, MacOS users be damned(I have 2 MacBooks)

Sensor is fine, I wasn’t using knob anyway and won’t be using this much either

And blush nano switches are really, really quiet, nothing like any video would suggest
Hope this review helps at least one person.
And thanks to I don’t know who, I got a unit with nice qc, since all the switches are working and I don’t have to deal with any support issues, good luck to anyone who has to deal with that.
To others who are wary of this, most people would only leave negative reviews, I was also afraid to buy and I’m not disappointed, just get this one through reputable reseller, and you’ll do just fine. My keychron came with bricked Bluetooth and I had to return it, doesn’t mean keychron has bad qc, for anything Chinese I would say keychron or Nuphy are above average

Anyway, that’s it, thanks everyone!
