Help! Hanfu Sleeves so long

Hello!

I have purchased this Tang Dynasty Hanfu and is my first one. Link is below

【淘宝】https://e.tb.cn/h.RjhnhfAnV2EOUZo?tk=34zTgYkLwdT CZ321 「君陈【长吉】雀鸟团窠纹大放量复原男装汉服唐圆领官袍蓝青色襕袍」

Is this WAYY too long for sleeves? Im not sure how long it should be compared to normal clothing and if this is acceptable size, how do I tie it back so I can see hands?

Thanks everyone!

How should hanfu fit?

I'm getting into hanfu and wanted to know more about how it should fit.

For example, I saw online that the bottom of the hanfu should just brush the the top of your feet at most or just be slight above it. However in the picture above the hanfu stops at the models mid ankle.

Also I understand the sleeves are actually meant to go beyond your wrist so you can cover your hands, but if this is the case, how do you walk without the sleeves dropping down and appearing too long to a Western eye? Or how do you keep them up when doing things like writing or god forbid washing dishes?

In the third picture, the person appears to have the hanfu just be near the top of his feet and uses wraps to hold the sleeves, but I imagine this is more for archers than scholars or court officials

Help is appreciated 🙇‍♂️
