This will be the third campaign in a world I designed back in 2020.
We are on our 14th session this campaign, but still pretty early on. Some are level 5, most are level 4. I use an MVP system to give out bonus XP to those who do well.
Games would be most every Sunday (unless there is a holiday or something like that) at 12:00 PM EDT.
There are many elements in the game that I have based on games I enjoy: Fallout, Breath of Fire, Fire Emblem, Bravely Default, Shin Megami Tensei... many of my continents and cities take their names from existing video games.
The world is basically an amalgamation of all of my favorite things, with many homebrew systems in place, Asterisks and Traits namely, which grant characters more options and abilities to set them apart and make combat more engaging.
We use DND Beyond for our character sheets, and roll20 for our maps. Discord is where we do voice chat, take notes, and players engage in out of session stories about what they do in their downtime.
It is a pretty RP heavy campaign, with a Support system to reward bonding with other party members. Combat is brutally difficult, but with enough homebrew that if you're smart and use your skills, you should survive.
We have 5 units in the party now, and I would like 1 more. Preferably someone who can be a bit of a party leader at times, as two of the players are sort of passive.
Our party is made up of:
A Human Blood Hunter
A Human Bard
A Kenku Barbarian/Fighter
And two Rangers: one a Tabaxi, and one a Canisar (Arctic Fox)
Oh, and important, it is sort of tradition for me (since I was a kid) to have a DMPC. So the Blood Hunter is my character, and the Bard is also played by me. The bard was a girl we rescued from hags, who the party liked so much that they wanted to keep her around. So she's a permanent fixture in the party.
I do not give preferential treatment to those I play. I also play them very passively, they're mostly there for RP and to help in battle.
They do not exist to solve puzzles that I designed. They are there for the ride.
I might retire either the Blood Hunter, or the Bard, but both are well-liked by the party, so I don't really see myself just getting rid of them either.
The Bard is basically our dedicated healer, and the BH is DPS, so they like that.
Anyways, if that interests you guys, let me know.
