I started my first research project, a literature review, with a kind but extremely strict PI. He simply didn’t like my final draft at all, to the point where he told me he doesn’t think it’s worth finishing the project. His research assistants all told me he’s insanely harsh and that papers take a while to come out because of that.
Obviously, it’s disappointing as fuck, and disappointment is the name of the game in medicine. But I’m worried I blew all my chances of being even slightly competitive for IM. I lowkey feel like I wasted three months on this publication even though im grateful for the opportunity and all. Is the project still valid for CARMS?

Sorry if it feels like im venting a bit, just looking for any input or people who went through similar experiences.

Helloooooo, im a Canadian from Quebec, and I’ll be visiting some family in Valencia next week. Since it’ll be my first time in Spain, I started wondering what the general perception of Canadians is.
What do Spaniards usually think of Canada and Canadians? Are we generally viewed positively, negatively, or are most people simply indifferent? I’m curious about both stereotypes and personal experiences you’ve had with Canadians.

I’m from Quebec, and university football is a pretty big deal here. Games involving the Carabins or the Rouge et Or usually draw great crowds and generate a lot of interest.
I’m curious how it compares across the rest of Canada. Are there any other provinces/territories where university football has a similarly strong following?

For anyone starting to play and/or considering to buy her, you get her for free after finishing the pre-season MSQ. For some reason, as a new player myself, it was really hard to find relevant information on this around this sub. Feels like this sub is mostly filled with gooner slop and not actual info about the game.

I know that most Mcgill students are born here, but what about the OOP student/international students. Do you guys like to explore the city or not really. If the latter, where to you mostly stick to?

Mind you Im doing my MD program there right now. But I keep reading about how the match rates are low, that OOP matching is almost impossible and stuff like that. Can anyone whose gone through the program or familiar with Udem MDs give me more info?
