Children’s book from early 2000s, similar art style to Shel Silverstein
I’m trying to find a book that my dad used to read to me when I was younger, he can’t remember the title either. It was written in a way to sound like a child was speaking (animals=aminals, spaghetti=scetti, etc.) the word monster could have been misspelled as momster but I can’t fully remember. The cover was very dark and possibly had a bunch of eyes on it. The drawings were black and white pencil drawings similar to the art style of Shel Silverstein. I remember one part pretty clearly, there was a picture of a humanoid raccoon’s side profile and it was eating spaghetti out of a tin can and it said something like “raccoons eat scetti” I can’t really remember the plot of the book but I think it was comparing animals to monsters and explaining how the two weren’t the same. It’s not The Aminal by Lorna Balian.
