BACB email asking for volunteers BS

I received an email today asking for volunteers to write questions for the certification test. And you are required to go to Colorado. The email does not allow for replies.

Why is this not a paid position?  If the BACB values the quality of the profession, why are they not paying a qualified person to complete the job?  Do you value the work people put into the exam assessing for competency?  To ask for volunteers for such an important task is not only showing a lack of respect for the professional, but I would imagine also sends the message to those outside the profession that licensing and certification standards are not prioritized as evidenced by the assessments being formulated by volunteers.

I really hope no one responds, although I doubt that will be the case. If you are being asked to use your highly specialized credentials, you should be getting compensated! To accept less than that not only devalues yourself but also the profession.

Thought on the preparation to travel episodes

One thing that is not discussed enough is the preparation/travel to Hollywood episodes vs the preparation/travel to Europe episodes. These are good to compare because in both cases the writers really took their time building up the transition away from the NY apartment, in a way I wish shows that came later did.

I have always LOVED the Hollywood preparation episodes and really dislike the preparation episodes for Europe. When I watch on Pluto TV, if the prep for Europe episodes are on, I switch to Murder She Wrote for the afternoon. The trunk, seasickness, Lucy getting a helicopter, and then getting stuck in the port window were all so gimmicky and also preludes to some of the absurdity that the later Lucy shows had. The humor lacks a timelessness, such that knowing what happens next takes away from enjoying the story. Compare that to buying a car, packing up, Cousin Ernie returning, and Ethel's hometown, and there is no contest which set is superior. I could watch square dancing and Ethel's performance all day long.

While I like both the Hollywood and Europe return to home episodes, the Hollywood train ride home was superior. Both episodes are absurd but still have their classic jokes. The food all over Fred and Ethel, and Ricky denouncing his cheese baby both always crack me up.

I am finishing up making a map for HOTA HOMM3. Is there a way to create a forced-choice for the player? For example, the player must choose left or right pathways but cannot choose both. I can think of some ways, such as using a series of 1-way gates, but in the map I am building, all gates are in use. In fact them all being in use has been causing more than a few issues. But overall, even with gates, the player could in theory go back to the start of the chain and then choose the other pathway. I am trying to think of a way to create a true permanent choice.

I was thinking there might be a way to do it with water and boats but it didn't work out the way I was hoping and was just too convoluted. I wish there was a way to have boats decay. That seems to be the easiest way to create one way paths.

Any ideas?

Follow up question, when people post their maps online, do they usually make reddit posts advertising it a bit? This map is turning out much better than I expected so I might post it and see what happens.
